Domain Name Registration

To set up your own website where customers can view your products you first need an address (known as a domain name) for people to reach you, just like a postal address or phone number, for example: our address is turnerlittle.com.

Anyone putting your domain name into their computer can access your website and obtain your products and services. If you are setting up a business or new company, registering your name on the Internet will prevent anyone else beating you to it.

Turner Little can offer several different types of domain names which can be divided into top level domain names and .uk second level domain names.

The range of top level domain names that we can offer are listed as follows:

• .biz - intended for companies - both large and small.
• .com - used by commercial organisations.
• .mobi - for websites specifically delivering content to mobile phones
• .name - intended for individuals.
• .net - traditionally used by organisations involved in internet infrastructure activities; eg. ISPs.
• .info - unrestricted domain name type for use by any entity.
• .org - intended for non-commercial organisations.

Turner Little can also offer ccTLDs (country code top level domains) which are listed below:

• .cn - China
• .de - Germany
• .eu - for use by both individuals and companies within the European Union.
• .us - United States of America.

Also on offer are a range of .uk domain names:

• .co.uk - Used for commercial organisations.
• .ltd.uk - Intended specifically for limited companies.
• .me.uk - for the personal websites of individuals.
• .net.uk - for the use of Internet Service Providers.
• .org.uk - Used for non-commercial organisations.

When you register a .uk domain name you are also entering into a contract with Nominet and you agree to their terms and conditions. This is a separate contract to any you may have with a third party for the provision of internet services. Please read before you register your domain name.
