Just to let you know that my wife and I have now opened an account with Halifax and it was a painless affair. The account is all that I wanted from an account.

The Halifax is processing our Visa debit cards as well as our cheque books. We already have Internet banking and an automatic overdraft of £1000 that came as something of a surprise to ourselves.
